Shaker Global Holdings (“Shaker Global Holdings,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, fraud, bribery, theft, abuse of authority, and any misconduct that harms the dignity, rights, or safety of beneficiaries.
This Anti-Corruption & Integrity Policy (“Policy”) applies across all affiliated and independent initiatives operating under Shaker Global Holdings, including but not limited to SISP, SIETF, and Operation Bangladesh.
We do not serve systems. We serve people—and we protect them by enforcing integrity.
1) Our Mission of Integrity
Our work is created to serve people with dignity and responsibility. For this reason, integrity is not a slogan—it is a mission safeguard.
All persons associated with Shaker Global Holdings are expected to demonstrate:
- Honesty in action and communication
- Respect for beneficiaries and communities
- Accurate reporting and documentation
- Responsible handling of resources and authority
- Accountability at all levels
2) Zero-Tolerance Standard
Shaker Global Holdings maintains zero tolerance for:
- Corruption in any form (public or private)
- Bribery, kickbacks, facilitation payments, or improper gifts
- Fraud, forged records, false claims, or misrepresentation
- Theft, embezzlement, diversion of funds, or misuse of assets
- Collusion with criminals, officials, or third parties for personal gain
- Manipulation of aid distribution, beneficiary selection, or program access
- Exploitation, intimidation, coercion, harassment, or abuse of vulnerable persons
- Political interference or misuse of humanitarian operations for influence
No individual—regardless of role, seniority, or relationship—has authority to override this standard.
3) Prohibition on Bribery & Improper Payments
No employee, officer, contractor, volunteer, representative, or partner may:
- Offer, promise, give, request, or receive bribes
- Provide improper payments to obtain access, approvals, or favorable decisions
- Pay government officials or intermediaries to bypass lawful processes
- Offer benefits in exchange for influence, silence, or special treatment
Shaker Global Holdings will not fund or participate in any activity that requires bribery, deception, or unethical conduct.
4) Financial Integrity & Controls
We maintain strict internal controls to protect resources intended for humanitarian service. This includes:
- Documentation and record-keeping standards
- Financial approvals and clear authorization chains
- Verification of beneficiary eligibility and legitimacy
- Audit-support practices and traceable reporting
- Separation of duties where operationally feasible
- Integrity safeguards for procurement and vendor selection
Any financial activity lacking transparency or verification may be suspended immediately.
5) Beneficiary Protection & Ethical Delivery
Aid, scholarships, and humanitarian programs must never be used to:
- Humiliate recipients
- Demand loyalty, political support, or religious conversion
- Violate human dignity, privacy, or rights
6) Conflict of Interest
All individuals acting for or with Shaker Global Holdings must disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest, including:
- Family or personal relationships with vendors/beneficiaries
- Financial interests in suppliers or partner organizations
- Side arrangements, commissions, or undisclosed benefits
7) Reporting Misconduct (Whistleblower Protection)
Anyone may report suspected corruption or misconduct. Reports may include:
- Bribery attempts
- Theft or diversion
- Falsified documentation
- Abuse of power
- Threats or intimidation
- Manipulation of beneficiary lists
- Cybersecurity crimes or impersonation
Investigations & Enforcement
All suspected violations may trigger:
- Internal review and evidence preservation
- Immediate suspension of implicated access, payments, or program activity
- Referral to local authorities, regulators, or international enforcement where appropriate
- Civil recovery actions for stolen assets or damages
- Permanent disqualification of individuals or entities involved
Integrity violations are treated as serious threats to humanitarian operations.
9) Partner and Vendor Integrity Standards
All partners, vendors, and agents must follow standards equal to this Policy.
We reserve the right to terminate cooperation immediately if any partner:
- Engages in bribery or fraud
- Abuses beneficiaries
- Hides information, refuses verification, or obstructs audits
- Acts in ways that compromise mission integrity
10) Public Commitment
We would rather stop an operation than allow corruption to touch it.
